The Ninth IASTED International Conference on Visualization, Imaging, and Image Processing - VIIP 2009 - July 13-15, 2009 Cambridge, United Kingdom

The Ninth IASTED (International Association of Science and Technology for Development) International Conference on Visualization, Imaging, and Image Processing (VIIP 2009) will establish an international medium for the exchange of new ideas and practical experience between researchers and practitioners working in the fields of imaging, image processing, and visualization. It is an opportunity to present and observe the latest research, results, and ideas in these areas, as well as their applications. All papers submitted to this conference will be evaluated by at least two reviewers. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution.

 

The topics to be covered include, but are not limited to the following.

Rendering

Modelling

Animation

Components

Image Processing and Analysis

Computer Vision

Visualization and HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces) 

Objects

 

VIIP 2009 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International Conferences on:

• Control and Applications (CA 2009)

• Technical, Medical and Scientific Publishing (TMSP 2009)

• Internet and Multimedia Systems and Applications (EuroIMSA 2009)

IPMM 2009, August 16-21, 2009 - Perth, Australia 

The 7th International Conference on Intelligent Processing and Manufacturing of Materials, IPMM 2009, will take place in Perth, Australia from August 16-21, 2009 (www.perth2009.mining.ubc.ca).

IPMM is an informal International community of people interested in intelligent software and hardware applications and solutions to problems in the creation and manufacture of minerals, metals, materials and products. The first Conference, IPMM'97, was held in Gold Coast, Australia in July, 1997. Since then, conferences have been held biannually at:  Honolulu, Hawaii (1999), Vancouver, Canada (2001), Sendai, Japan (2003), Monterey, California (2005) and Salerno, Italy (2007).
